The popular company: Blackflag, opened their second brewery in Coolum this past October. The brand new venue features the iconic black and vibrant colour aesthetic that the co-owner, Ross Holloway, is known for. Holloway is a local Sunshine Coast artist who uses a mix of tattoo and street art style to create unique murals.

Between the air-conditioned indoor area, the viewing deck bar, and the beer garden fixed with picnic tables, there is nowhere in the venue you can go without admiring one of his murals.

Blackflag’s Coolum Beach headquarters is a 2,100 square metre brewery in the industrial estate behind the Sunshine motorway. 

The brewery is known to host an array of fundraiser events including “Puppies & Pints” which they team up with ‘Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge’ to run. Events at Black Flag Brewery include live music, food and drink combo deals and meat tray raffles!

The founders of Blackflag and their extensive team who they label “a bunch of misfits” are passionate about brewing quality beer, so head on down and try a range of their exquisitely crafted pales, largers and more!
